"Maile" Manned torpedo 'Inspirations' by Toni Toni

Adie Roberts continues his inspirations to help inspire modellers of all abilities to work out of their comfort zone building dioramas or just trying new builds.

A fantastic diorama from modelling friend Toni Toni "Maiali" The Raid on Alexandria was carried out on 19 December 1941 by Italian Navy divers of the Decima Flottiglia Mas, who attacked and disabled two Royal Navy battleships in the harbour of Alexanderia, Egypt, using manned torpedoes. The italians nicknamed the manned torpedoes "Maiali" meaning pigs, and "Maile" in English meaning Obsolete form of chainmail.
