One of the best known boats ever, the Orca is still not one you might have expected to be available as a scale model – but Artitec models of the Netherlands has stepped up with a beautiful, VERY complete kit in 1/87 scale!

The kit consists of sharply cast resin, photoetch metal, plastic masts, decals, and scale rigging lines to fit out the little craft.

The hull is cast as a single flawless resin piece.

Molded detail is superb with every surface precisely rendered.

Although it will be difficult to see on the finished model, the cabin interior is faithfully and very completely detailed, right down to the louvered cabinet doors and control panel dials. The radio even has the microphone cord.

The seats show some very nice upholstering detail... 

And of course no proper shark boat would be caught without those distinctive barrels! 

The stowed barrels even have the retaining chain details molded into them.

The two photoetch frets contain a wealth of details including helm wheels, cleats, the rifle and even Quint's chair.
