Two stunning dioramas from a modelling friend Ramir Durá and his dioramas of HMS Royal Oak and the U-47 and its Commander Gunther Prien proved that the impossible actually proved possible! On the night of Friday 13th October 1939, HMS Royal Oak, a 600-foot-long 29,000-ton Dreadnought battleship was sunk by torpedoes from a German U-boat that had penetrated the British Navy’s main anchorage at Scapa Flow in Orkney. 833 men died, and the 2nd World War was just six weeks old.

Adie Roberts continues his series of inspirations to help inspire modellers of all abilities to work out of their comfort zone building dioramas or just trying new builds.
