I wanted to update an earlier post, this time with pix, so here you go:
While trying to sand small areas on a figure, I came up with this idea. Here is what you'll need to start:
You can re-cycle an old brush, or buy some cheap(a pack of 10 cost me a dollar). The emory boards are thin and double sided.
Gently squeeze the brush head to release the bristles.
Remove the bristles. You can save them for other things(grass, etc.) or toss them.
Trim one end of the emory board to fit into the brush head.
Insert board into brush head.
Clamp brush head to secure, then trim to size/shape to suit your needs. Here is what the finished item(s) should look like:
