Si,

she's really taking shape, looks like a battleship by now. Great and swift work, as usual.

- night of the PomPoms, yes, that's some time ago Russ...still remember it. But SI, they're looking really good! Those PomPoms are always very particular and a special challenge to build!

Great build mate, looking forward to see a commission not too far out I'd think!

Cheers,
Jan

The certainly are Jan,

I would reckon by the fourth one I will have cracked building them.

Not too far, 20mm, cranes, masts, rigging, main deck railings etc etc.

Thanks for looking in mate.

I did dare go back.

One photograph I forgot to take last time. The finished upgraded Pompom compared to the unaltered kit parts.

One of the issues with the adapting the kit part is that the breech section is not solid, which caused a few issues drilling out for the brass barrels.

The solution

still needs a few swipes with a file.

Where I am at.

a bit more progress on the 20mm.

And the foremast.

test fitted in place.

More soon.

Cheers

Si

Si,

So being from England and working several ship kits, assembling a lot PE, I have to ask; Do you have a beer refrigerator in you hobby room to cope with all that PE? I know I would have to have one..LOL.

Nice PE work,

Mark

Thanks Ken,

You wouldn't sat that if you were outside my workshop on Sunday, I did use a few naughty words

I am sort of confident it will be worth the effort.

Thanks for looking mate, much appreciated.

Cheers

Si

Hi Mark,

Not quite in the workshop... But the emergency fridge is close at hand for when I finish a session! I would be even shorter on sanity if it wasn't!

Thanks for looking in mate.

Thanks Russ,

They are a pain to get them to go together, but well worth the effort.

Thanks for looking in mate.
